Locked Vision is a focused browser for social platforms. It asks why you're opening it before letting you in, then strips out the parts engineered to keep you scrolling — recommendation feeds, short-video tabs, explore pages — while leaving the parts you actually came for, like messages and profiles.
Why does it ask what I'm doing before it opens?
That's the intent prompt. It appears on first launch and again after 30 minutes of inactivity. Naming your reason before you scroll is the point — it turns an automatic habit into a decision. Choosing "just browsing" adds a short pause before you can continue.
What is the banner with the countdown?
If you choose "a specific task" at the intent prompt and type what you came to do, the browser keeps that goal pinned at the top with a five-minute timer. When the time runs out — or when you tap Done — you're returned to the main screen. It's there so you remember what you came for while you're in the place designed to make you forget.
Can I choose what gets hidden?
Yes. Open Settings and you'll find every rule listed under its platform, each with its own switch. Turn off anything you'd rather keep.
A rule stopped working.
Platforms redesign their sites often, which can break a rule. Rules are delivered from our server rather than baked into the app, so fixes arrive without an app update — pull to refresh on the main screen. If something stays broken, email us and say which platform and which rule.
What do the numbers in Analytics mean?
Each count is how many times a rule caught you heading somewhere you'd asked to avoid. High numbers aren't failures — they're the habit becoming visible.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no profile. You sign in to the platforms themselves exactly as you would in any browser, and those logins stay between you and them.
Does it work offline?
The app opens and keeps your settings offline, but browsing needs a connection. The rule catalog is cached, so a dropped signal won't reset your setup.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes everything, since it's all stored on your device. You can also clear rule preferences and analytics from within Settings.
